Veiled Pages Girls

The adult size of your pet veiled chameleon depends on its gender. Typical males grow to a length between 17 and 24 inches (43.2 to 61 cm) from the tip of the snout to the end of their tails. Females will typically reach a total length of 10 to 14 inches (25.4 to33 cm).

Aside from their similarities, male and female veiled chameleons vary in four areas: males typically have a higher casque height than females; males have a tarsal spur on each of their hind heels, whereas females do not; adult males and females display different coloration; and males generally have a larger total body length than do females.

However, now religion was being forced upon them: ''Then came 1980: The year it became obligatory to wear the veil at school.'' Persepolis tells the story of Marjane's childhood growing up within the Islamic revolution. The religious oppression was very intense for the country, and one aspect was forcing women to wear veils to cover their hair so it did not 'excite' men into acting rashly. In 1980 girls and women were asked to wear them, and later it became the law. Marjane didn't know what to think of it at first, and her parents and the country protested for a time. But eventually it became to dangerous and everyone had to obey the new regime or face prison or death.

Quebec officials are trying to assure Canadians that the law will be applied fairly. For instance, they say a woman would have to show her face when boarding a bus with a photo ID but could remain veiled during the ride.

Narrated 'Aisha: The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. 'Umar used to say to the Prophet "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam'a the wife of the Prophet went out at 'Isha' time and she was a tall lady. 'Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab".
